WOW Results!

This last week I decided to join in on the fun at my cousin Becky's blog and do another WOW (Within One Week) project. This chair has been aching for a coat of paint! When I first looked at it, I figured I would do green and brown, I like those colors together, I had the paint. But the more I thought about it, the more I said to myself, "Come on Emily! You need to get out of the unisex color mode, you've got three girls for goodness sakes!" So I went all out, and did two shades of pink lol. I put stipes on the sides and the back, and under the
seat, then did a solid shade on the back and the top of the seat so I can put a rub on on later if I want.

Here was Chad's chair a week ago. I waited and waited to get to it because I was dreading pulling out paint with kids around, but I made myself do it yesterday and am very pleased with the results:

Doesn't Avery look happier lol. She wouldn't let me take a picture of just her in the chair, she had to hold Layls...She was so excited to see it this morning! I still would like to get a rub on for the back, maybe the Letter A or a flower, we'll see. The hard part is definitely over! By no means is this chair perfect, there are little flaws everywhere. I spent so much time taping, untaping, taping again, and I still messed up in a few places, but all in all I think it turned out really cute :)

Very cute, but you are going to have to get an A,L, and M....you could spell Mal, Lam, etc. Good job, I would have used spray paint and called er good...like I did with her pumpking, but way to go, am proud of you...or you could leave the C in it for chad since he is the only boy..lol

That is darling!! I definitely think you should win the WOW contest. Hmm. Maybe I'll put in a vote if that were possible. LOL
