It has been an insane month it seems. It all started off with a bang about a month ago when Mallory got her finger slammed in the door almost taking the tip of her finger off. She ended up with stitches, and her finger's looking pretty good now. Since then we have had kids sick constantly it seems. and Avery with an awesome black eye. I'm just praying that we are getting all the sickies and ouchies out of the way for the rest of the year!
With that, last week we celebrated Avery's 5th birthday! Her birthday just happened to land on a Saturday this year which was nice. It's always fun to have your party on your actualy birthday! I still can't believe she is 5 years old and will be going to Kindergarten next year. It's exciting, and sad all at the sametime. She's can't wait to do new things, and I can wait a while longer I think! Here are some pictures of her birthday party! When asked what kind of birthday she wanted she quickly responded with BARBIE! I love that little girl, and her love for all things pink and zebra striped!
I'm so glad the sun has come back out these last few days. Even though it's pretty chili outside still, the kids have been able to go out and play and not get soaking wet! They are having a blast with their Uncle Charlie who's been staying with us. Levi is in heaven having another boy in the house to play with!
Took a few pictures today, I like testing out my zoom lens Chad got me for Christmas! It's awesome! I can't wait for Spring pictures!
It's been well over a year since I posted anything on here, and so instead of doing a recap of the last 17 months, I think we're just going to start over!
So here is my official "first" blog! To start, why don't I give everyone updates on the big stuff going on with my family right now.
Our house: We are still in the process of building the house. It seems like every time we think we're getting close, something else comes up and pushes our move in date back a couple of weeks. At this point we've stopped setting a "move in date" and are just trying to be patient! Chad and I were over there last night just sitting on the floor of the master bedroom thinking neither of us wanted to leave lol. One thing is for sure, when we do move in there is going to be a big party! The kids: Avery is turning 5 in a couple of weeks! WOW. She'll be starting kindergarten at Bickleton next August. She is overly excited! Mostly about riding the bus... Layla and Mal turned 3 last month, and the terribly 2's were only the beginning it seems. They are typical 3 year olds! We'll be doing homeschool preschool with them when Avery is in school. And then there's Levi! He is 18 months old now, and stubborn as ever. It's so funny how different their personalities are when you compare him to the girls. He is all boy! And we love it :)
So there is the short and skinny of it all! I'll keep up the blog, at least for a while... ;)
